A’s announce 60-man player pool for 2020 season

OAKLAND, Calif. – ­­­­The Oakland A’s announced their 60-man player pool for the 2020 season today. The list includes 39 players on the 40-man roster, one from the 60-day injured list and 14 under minor league contracts. Additional players will be announced later this week.

Of the 54 players, 42 will report to the Oakland Coliseum on July 2 with the first workout scheduled for July 4. The list includes the 31 active 40-man players along with Daniel Mengden, who is on the 60-day injured list, and Paul Blackburn, Skye Bolt, Daniel Gossett and Sheldon Neuse, who have already been optioned. Rounding out the list are six minor leaguers: left-handed pitcher Lucas Luetge, right-handed pitchers Jaime Schultz and Jordan Weems, catcher Carlos Pérez and infielders Ryan Goins and Nate Orf.

The remaining 12 players will report to an alternate site yet to be determined at a date no later than opening day of the 2020 regular season.

Opening Day rosters will include 30 players. That number will be reduced to 28 on the 15th day of the season and 26 on day 29.
