OAKLAND, Calif. — The Oakland Athletics reinstated outfielder Skye Bolt from the 10-day injured list and outrighted him to Triple-A Las Vegas, the club announced today.  The A’s also announced that right-handed pitcher Domingo Tapia and outfielder Luis Barrera have cleared waivers and have been outrighted to Las Vegas.

Bolt was batting .198 with four home runs, 13 RBI and a .589 OPS in 42 games when he was placed on the injured list Aug. 26 with a right knee patella subluxation.  He was sent to Las Vegas on a rehab assignment a week ago today and went 5-for-18 (.278) with three doubles and six RBI in four games.

Tapia was recalled from Las Vegas last Friday and pitched in two games, allowing three runs on three hits and three walks in 2.0 innings, before he was designated for assignment on Sunday.  He has an 8.47 ERA, .338 opponents batting average and .971 OPS in 11 relief appearances over five stints with Oakland. Tapia has combined for four saves, a 2.20 ERA, .218 opponents batting average and .628 OPS in 29 relief appearances with the Aviators and Triple-A Omaha.

Barrera was designated for assignment last Friday when the A’s claimed Conner Capel off waivers from St. Louis.  He was with the A’s from May 9 to June 19 and hit .234 with a home run, seven RBI and a .632 OPS in 32 games.  Barrera is also batting .271 with 16 doubles, seven triples, six home runs, 40 RBI and a .782 OPS in 71 games with Las Vegas.
