OAKLAND, Calif. – The Oakland A’s reinstated outfielder Ramón Laureano from the 10-day injured list and recalled right-handed pitcher J.B. Wendelken from Triple-A Las Vegas, the club announced today.

Laureano was batting .284 with 21 home runs and 58 RBI in 107 games when he was placed on the IL July 29 with a right lower leg stress reaction. Despite missing 32 games while on the IL, he still ranks second among American League center fielders in home runs and RBI and is tied for fifth among AL outfielders with eight assists.

Wendelken joins the A’s for the fourth time this year and is 1-1 with a 4.56 ERA and .206 opponents batting average in 21 relief appearances. He was on the Opening Day roster and pitched in 18 games before he was optioned to Las Vegas May 12. The 26-year-old right-hander also had stints with Oakland from June 21 to 25 and July 6 to 14. Wendelken went 6-3 with three saves, a 5.59 ERA and .297 opponents average in 30 games with the Aviators and also tossed a scoreless inning of relief in Game 1 of the Pacific Coast League Conference Championship Series against Sacramento on Wednesday.
