American Family Field homestand highlights: Aug. 20-26

Milwaukee Bucks NBA World Champion Bobby Portis to Throw First Pitch, Aug.22; Enjoy Cerveceros Community Day with Special Pre-Game Parade and Performances

MILWAUKEE – The first-place Milwaukee Brewers are back at American Family Field for a six-game homestand from Aug. 20-26 against the Washington Nationals (Aug. 20-22) and Cincinnati Reds (Aug. 24-26). Tickets are available for all six games, including Sunday, Aug. 22 where special guest Bobby Portis of the Milwaukee Bucks throws the ceremonial first pitch, joined by Brewers All-Stars Ben Sheets and Geoff Jenkins.

Single-game tickets for games at American Family Field throughout the remainder of the regular season are available for purchase. Tickets can be purchased at brewers.com, 1-800-933-7890 or at the American Family Field Box Office. All online and phone purchases will be digitally delivered through the MLB Ballpark app.

The Brewers will celebrate the 2000s Decade Weekend this homestand beginning with a 2000s Brewers short-sleeved t-shirt giveaway to the first 10,000 ticketed fans on Friday, Aug. 20, courtesy of International Autos Group.

Saturday, Aug. 21, the Crew celebrates Cerveceros Community Day, presented by Aurora Health Care®. While the ticket packages including the replica jersey are sold out, tickets for the game remain, and fans have the ability to enjoy several special experiences throughout the ballpark. Enjoy the pre-game parade at 1:30 p.m., beginning at the Clocktower Entrance and ending at the Right Field Gate, featuring dancers from Salsabrositas MKE, drummers from Cache Ensemble and Color Guard from Hispanic Veterans from the American GI Forum. Additional performances throughout the game featuring Salsa and Latin Jazz band from Milwaukee, Clave y Afinque, along with Cache en Trio, Mexican Folkloric dancers, Puerto Rican Bomba dancers and salsa dance group, Salsabrositas. Look for exact times of performances on the Ballpark App. 

The Ben Sheets Bobbleheads, courtesy of International Autos Group and slated for Sunday, Aug. 22 have gone missing (officially a shipping delay), and the first 35,000 ticketed fans will receive an additional mystery bobble, as well as a voucher redeemable for a Ben Sheets Bobblehead. This homestand also features several annual festivities to support Brewers Community Foundation, the charitable arm of the Brewers.

  • Ultimate Auction – returning for its 12th year, the annual auction offers fans the chance to bid on unique Brewers experiences at brewers.com/BCFAuction. The annual charitable event runs Aug. 11-25.
  • ‘Give Like a Pro’ Fan Packs – also taking place Aug. 11-25, fans packs feature Brewers items and memorabilia for purchase. Options for the “Give Life a Pro” fan packs include the Home Run Package ($250), Extra Bases Package ($100) and Base Hit Package ($50), with more details on the packages at brewers.com/give.
  • BCF Week - taking place during the Brewers six-game homestand against the Washington Nationals and Cincinnati Reds, Aug. 20-26, BCF Week features fun activities, games and Brewers items for sale at the right field corner of the Field Level concourse to support the Foundation’s charitable impact in the community. Cashless Ballpark: Cash payments are accepted at a limited number of concession stands in American Family Field. The majority of concession stands, and all mobile kiosks and retail locations will remain cashless. Should fans have cash, there will be kiosks around the ballpark where they can exchange cash for a prepaid card.Mask Policy: Masks are no longer required for fans attending games. “PNC Play Ball Kid” and “Toyota Junior Announcer”: The “PNC Play Ball” kid and “Toyota Junior Announcer” return this season with lucky young fans being chosen randomly from the stands. The “Play Ball” kid will get the game started from Section 205. The “Junior Announcer” will announce the players coming up to bat from the Toyota Territory.Bernie’s Ceremonial Flag Waver: Catch Bernie’s slide each game during the middle of the first inning, accompanied by a super fan waving the Brewers flag on the platform. This is Bob Uecker’s 51st season calling Brewers games. He will be joined on the radio this season by Jeff Levering and Lane Grindle. Tim Dillard, Vinny Rottino and Chris Singleton will join the established and revered television crew of Brian Anderson, the primary play-by-play announcer, along with Matt Lepay, Levering and Craig Coshun. Bill Schroeder will continue as lead analyst in the broadcast booth, with Sophia Minnaert returning as primary sideline reporter.
