5K Famous Racing Sausages Run/Walk goes virtual

Run virtually to raise money to support Brewers Community Foundation and Fisher House Wisconsin

June 11th, 2020

MILWAUKEE -- One of the most anticipated 5K’s of the year, the Brewers Community Foundation’s 22nd annual 5K Famous Racing Sausages Run/Walk, taking place Saturday, July 18, will be held virtually this year. The decision was made with thoughtful consideration and the health and safety of the community in mind.

Individuals and teams are encouraged to run 3.1 miles on their own and share their race day accomplishment via social channels with #Sausage5K.

If you have registered, please know that there is no action required on your part.

There’s still time! If you would like to take part in the 5K Famous Racing Sausages Run/Walk, please register by July 15 at https://raceroster.com/events/2020/28805/5k-famous-racing-sausages-virtual-runwalk. Registration is $32 per person.

All proceeds benefit Brewers Community Foundation (BCF) and all fundraised dollars support Fisher House Wisconsin, which provides a home away from home for veterans’ and military families while their loved ones receive care at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee. BCF has contributed nearly $350,000 to Fisher House Wisconsin since its inception.

Each registrant will receive a commemorative t-shirt featuring the Famous Racing Hot Dog, a Famous Racing Sausages Run/Walk completion certificate and 25 percent discount off 2021 registration. Teams also have the opportunity to register and raise money together, with a deadline to do so on June 18. Further, all participants will be entered into a drawing featuring five Famous Sausage worthy prizes.
