KANSAS CITY, MO – Sept. 21, 2020 – Prior to their series opener in Kansas City tonight, the St. Louis Cardinals announced the following roster moves:

• Outfielder Dexter Fowler activated from the Injured List;
• Right-handed pitcher Giovanny Gallegos activated from 10-day Injure List;
• Outfielder Justin Williams optioned to the Alternate Training Site;
• Right-handed pitcher Nabil Crismatt optioned to the Alternate Training Site;
• Right-handed pitcher Roel Ramírez designated for assignment.

Fowler, who has been on the Injured List since Sept. 2, was co-leading the team in HR’s (4) and was 2nd in RBI (18) at the time he was placed on the I.L., posting an .832 OPS (.279/.347/.485) in 23 games.

 Gallegos is a perfect 4-for-4 in save opportunities, and has a .154 opponent’s BA in 13 games (11.1 IP) to go along with a 1-2 won-loss mark and a 3.97 ERA. He has been on the 10-day I.L. (groin strain) since Sept. 11.
