D-backs reinstate Wilmer Flores from 10-day injured list

Kevin Cron optioned to Triple-A Reno following last night's game

PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks reinstated INF Wilmer Flores from the 10-day injured list (right foot contusion). Following last night’s game, the D-backs optioned INF Kevin Cron to Triple-A Reno.

Flores, 27, was placed on the injured list on May 21 after being hit by a pitch in the second inning on May 19 vs. Giants. He was batting .373 (22-for-59)/.413 OBP/.559 SLG with 5 doubles, 2 home runs and 12 RBI in 20 games prior to the injury, and .281 (36-for-128) with 9 doubles, 2 home runs, 14 RBI in 42 games overall with the D-backs in 2019.

In 6 rehab games with Reno and Rookie AZL D-backs, he hit .500 (11-for-22) with 4 doubles, 5 RBI and 7 runs scored.

Cron, 26, is batting .207 (12-for-58) with 4 doubles, 5 home runs and 15 RBI and 10 runs scored in 27 games with Arizona this season.
