D-backs roster moves

The Arizona Diamondbacks made the following roster moves:

Selected RHP Drey Jameson (No. 58) from Triple-A Reno.

  • Will be making his Major League debut.
  • Rated by Baseball America as Arizona’s No. 8 prospect and No. 9 by MLB Pipeline.
  • Averaged 10.2 strikeouts per 9.0 innings across 3 Minor League seasons (289 SO in 255.0 IP).
  • Made 25 starts between Double-A Amarillo and Triple-A Reno in 2022.
  • Following his promotion to the Aces on April 28, ranked among Pacific Coast League leaders in strikeouts (3rd, 109), innings (5th, 114.0) and starts (T-5th, 21).
  • Selected by the D-backs as a first-round compensation selection (34th overall) in the 2019 draft out of Ball State University.

Placed LHP Kyle Nelson on the 15-day injured list (left elbow inflammation), retro to Sept. 13.
