D-backs’ Managing General Partner Ken Kendrick and President & CEO Derrick Hall shared the following statement regarding Major League Baseball’s newly agreed upon collective bargaining agreement:
This is a great day for our fans, our players, our employees, our corporate partners, our media rightsholders and our game day staff. This new collective bargaining agreement improves the game and allows us to keep a full 162-game season intact. We care deeply about our fans and appreciate their patience, passion and understanding throughout the process. Now they will enjoy a sport that is embracing better pay for its younger players, exciting and new on-field rules, expanded playoffs, a balanced schedule, and a universal designated hitter. We look forward to getting out to Salt River Fields immediately and seeing our loyal fans in Spring Training and for the regular season at Chase Field. Go D-backs, and play ball!
