July 20th, 2019

LOS ANGELES – Viva Los Dodgers presented by Spectrum and Coca-Cola, now in its 10th season, returns this Sunday, July 21 at 11:00 a.m. (auto gates open at 10:40 a.m.) prior to the 1:10 p.m. game against the Miami Marlins. The family friendly festival will celebrate Cuban Heritage and will feature interactive games, food and beverages and live music. The festival will also give fans a chance to receive autographs from legendary scout and Cuban Baseball Hall of Fame member Mike Brito from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Dodger legend Ron Cey from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

As part of the Cuban celebration, fans will have a chance to enjoy a performance by The Downey Comparsa, a dance group comprised of children ages 5-16 that strive to preserve Hispanic traditions and culture through dance. Cuban musical group Havana L.A. will also be taking the stage, providing the Viva Los Dodgers audience with the various popular dance rhythms of Cuba. Havana L.A. will also welcome Cuban singer Albita on stage for a special guest appearance, to add her Cuban renditions of dance and soul to the musical set. The Havana native has performed all over the word, sharing the stage with artists such as Willy Chirino, Phil Collins, Tony Bennett, Juan Luis Guerra and the late “Queen of Salsa Music,” Celia Cruz.

Viva Los Dodgers takes place on the last Sunday of every month two hours prior to the game. In addition to Spectrum and Coca-Cola, Dodgers partners 76, Estrella Jalisco, Jim Beam, Welk Resorts, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and National Electrical Contractors Association of LA County, UCLA Health, Adriana’s Insurance, Chef Merito Seasonings, Univision and Your SoCal Honda Dealers will also take part in this season-long Dodger initiative celebrating Latino culture in Los Angeles and the legacy of Latino Dodgers past and present. Each of these family friendly festivals includes a theme and is free with a game-day ticket. Player appearances and talent additions will be announced throughout the season. Previous appearances at Viva Los Dodgers have included current Dodgers Alex Verdugo, Kiké Hernández and Julio Urías, as well as Dodger broadcasters Jaime Jarrín, Jorge Jarrín, Fernando Valenzuela and Pepe Yñiguez. Viva Los Dodgers culminates with La Gran Fiesta Viva Los Dodgers on Saturday, September 21.
