LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Andre Jackson and optioned left-handed pitcher Darien Núñez to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Jackson, 25, returns for his second stint with the club after firing 4.0 scoreless innings in his Major League debut on August 16 against Pittsburgh. The Arizona native has split the season between Low-A Rancho Cucamonga, Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City and is a combined 5-2 with a 3.16 ERA (27 ER/77.0 IP) and 86 strikeouts. He made one appearance since being optioned on August 17, going 5.2 innings of one-run ball for Rancho Cucamonga. The former 12th round pick of the 2017 First Year Player Draft out of the University of Utah is a combined 15-9 with a 3.36 ERA (97 ER/259.2 IP) and 303 strikeouts in 61 minor league games.

Núñez, 28, was recalled yesterday and did not appear in the contest. On the season, he is 0-1 with a 8.22 ERA (7 ER/7.2 IP) in six games (one start) for the Dodgers. He has split the season between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City, going a combined 5-0 with a 2.29 ERA (10 ER/39.1 IP) and 60 strikeouts. In 66 minor league contests, he is 8-2 with a 2.25 ERA (27 ER/108.0 IP) and 172 strikeouts. He was originally signed by the Dodgers as a minor league free agent on April 16, 2018.
