LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers made a series of moves today, recalling infielder Sheldon Neuse, activating right-handed pitcher Brusdar Graterol from the injured list, optioning left-handed pitcher Alex Vesia and placing infielder Gavin Lux on the 10-day injured list with right wrist soreness, retroactive to April 16. To create room on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers placed right-handed pitcher Ashton Goudeau on outright waivers and he was claimed by Colorado.

Neuse, 26, was acquired from the Oakland Athletics on February 11 in a four-player trade that involved the Dodgers getting Neuse and Gus Varland in exchange for left-handed pitcher Adam Kolarek and minor league outfielder Cody Thomas. Neuse has played in 25 big league games, hitting .250 with three doubles and seven RBI. In four minor league seasons, he hit .294 with 49 homers and 247 RBI.

Graterol, 22, made 23 appearances for the Dodgers last season, posting a 1-2 record with 3.09 ERA (8 ER/23.1 IP) and 13 strikeouts. One of the staples in the Dodgers postseason run, he recorded three holds, one save and 3.52 ERA in nine postseason games. The former Minnesota Twin is entering his third Major League season and is a combined 2-3 with a 3.55 ERA (13 ER/33.0 IP) in 33 games. He was acquired by the Dodgers along with Luke Raley from the Twins in exchange for Kenta Maeda and Jair Camargo on February 10, 2020.

Vesia, 25, was recalled last night but did not appear in the contest. The Northern California native was acquired from the Marlins along with minor leaguer Kyle Hurt in exchange for Dylan Floro. The southpaw made five appearances for the Marlins in 2020, allowing nine runs in 4.1 innings with five strikeouts. In 52 career minor league games, he has posted a 1.62 ERA (18 ER/100.0IP) and 138 strikeouts.

Lux, 23, has appeared in 13 games for the Dodgers, batting .220 with two triples and five RBI. In parts of three seasons with the Dodgers, he has notched six doubles, three triples, five homers and 22 RBI. The 2019 Minor League Player of the Year was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the first round of the 2016 First Year Player Draft out of Indian Trail High School.
