The Philadelphia Phillies will host the St. Louis Cardinals, Friday, April 16, to Sunday, April 18, in front of sold-out crowds at Citizens Bank Park! (Note: Tickets are available for the upcoming Giants series April 19-21.) Here’s a look at some of the fan highlights surrounding the series. 

Plus, please remember to mask up and be aware of the safety guidelines at the ballpark. 1.   The Phillies are celebrating the 74th anniversary of Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson’s Major League Baseball debut while also saluting the Philadelphia Stars Negro League baseball team during a pregame tributeat the 7:05 p.m. game on Friday, April 16. 

  • All fans will receive an Andrew McCutchen Philadelphia Stars T-Shirt at the entrance gates. 
  • Mahlene Duckett will make the ceremonial first pitch in honor of her late father and Philadelphia Stars player Mahlon Duckett.  
  • PhanaVision will also show highlights from the dedication of a new Philadelphia Stars display (held on April 15), in the Suite Level lobby at Citizens Bank Park. The video features a cameo from outfielder Andrew McCutchen. 
  • The Phillies Charities, Inc. 50/50 drawing, presented by DraftKings, will benefit the Jackie Robinson Foundation, a national not-for-profit dedicated to higher education advancement among underserved populations. 
  • All players, managers and coaches will wear Number 42, as well as a commemorative patch on their hat and jersey sleeve. Themed Stance socks with the commemorative “42” logo will also be worn on-field. Plus, the Jackie Robinson Day logo will be included on base jewels and official dugout lineup cards.

  • All fans will receive a Phillie Phanatic Knit Hat at the entrance gates. 
  • The Phanatic (and fans) will be in for quite a few pregame surprises – as Phoebe Phanatic, the Galapagos Gang, Swoop, Gritty, Franklin and Phang visit. 
  • The entire ballpark is invited to sing happy birthday; plus, a birthday cake, compliments of The GIANT Company, will be delivered to the Phanatic.
