Sign of a Hero: Nominate a frontline worker to be honored by the Phillies

February 4th, 2021

Frontline Heroes are about to get a big “sign” of gratitude from the Phillies and their fans.

Starting Thursday, February 4, fans are encouraged to nominate a deserving Frontline Hero who has continually stepped up to the plate to serve the city and community during the pandemic. From the nominations, 41 Frontline Heroes will be honored and spotlighted on street sign banners surrounding Citizens Bank Park.

The honorees selected for this once in-a-lifetime opportunity will be invited to take part in a photoshoot at Citizens Bank Park for their official Frontline Hero banner, which will be on display in time for the Phillies Home Opener on Thursday, April 1.

Frontline heroes to be nominated include (but are not limited to) local healthcare workers, first responders, law enforcement officials, sanitation workers, grocery store staff, delivery personnel, teachers, volunteers and other essential workers.

”There can never be enough gratitude shown to the extraordinary men and women who have been on the front lines since the onset of the pandemic,” said Michael Harris, Phillies Vice President, Marketing & New Media. “Their bravery and commitment to the community is remarkable. With the help of our fans, some of these amazing individuals who go above and beyond each day will now be honored in a unique and memorable way at Citizens Bank Park.”

To nominate a Frontline Hero for this honor, fans are required to upload a video telling the Phillies about their favorite Frontline Hero and why he/she should be selected for this opportunity. The video must not exceed a file size of 100MB and the ideal video length is 45 seconds. All videos must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Phillies.com/frontlineheroes.
