The Pirates have acquired RHP Tyler Bashlor from the New York Mets in exchange for cash considerations.

To make room on the 40-man roster, LHP Robbie Erlin has been designated for assignment.

The 27-year-old Bashlor appeared in 24 games with the Mets last season and 24 in 2018.  

He did not appear in a game with New York this season before being designated for assignment on July 28.
