BOSTON, MA – The Red Sox Foundation today launched a sweepstakes for fans to win a free, all-expense-paid road trip to the Red Sox series against the Yankees in New York on August 17 and 18. The contest, which opens today and runs through June 28, will raise funds to support the Red Sox Foundation and its programs and partners, including the Jimmy Fund, Home Base, the Red Sox Scholars Program, Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI), and The Dimock Center, among others. The sweepstakes is powered by Ascend Fundraising Solutions.

To enter, fans can visit redsox.com/win. One grand prize winner will receive round trip airfare to New York on JetBlue, the official airline of the Boston Red Sox, hotel accommodation for two nights in New York, a private virtual meet-and-greet session with Red Sox Manager Alex Cora, and four tickets to each Red Sox-Yankees game at Yankee Stadium on August 17 and 18.

The sweepstakes is open nationwide to any individual over the age of 18. In addition to the grand prize, fans who enter by certain dates will also be eligible for a separate drawing to win prizes including: $1,000 cash, tickets to the Red Sox Foundation’s Monster Party at Fenway Park on July 24, or a family portrait session at Fenway Park with the Red Sox team photographer. On Sunday, June 20, NESN will host a special Red Sox Foundation broadcast during the Red Sox-Royals game at Kauffman Stadium highlighting the work and impact of the Foundation on families throughout New England. Red Sox Chairman Tom Werner, and Foundation Executive Director Bekah Salwasser and special guests will be interviewed in the broadcast from the NESN studio in Watertown. Red Sox Foundation Honorary Chairman Tim Wakefield will serve as game analyst during the game. Coverage begins during NESN’s pregame show at 1 p.m. and will continue in-game and throughout postgame coverage.

The broadcast will also serve as a drive to help raise funds for the Foundation’s self-run programs, its partners, and the thousands of charities it supports across New England and in Lee County, Florida. Fans who wish to support the Foundation’s fundraising efforts can do so by entering the Red Sox Foundation Road Trip Sweepstakes at redsox.com/win. Those interested in making a donation of any amount can do so throughout the year on the foundation’s website redsoxfoundation.org.
