BOSTON -- During the first two games of the upcoming Red Sox-Dodgers series, Red Sox wives will raise funds for the Greater Boston Food Bank with the 28th annual “Strike Out Hunger” fundraiser at Fenway Park taking place on Friday, July 12, and Saturday, July 13.

Red Sox wives will collect donations from fans at all Fenway Park gates during the two-day fundraiser. Every $1 donation will provide 3 healthy meals to those in need in eastern Massachusetts.

Fans can make a donation starting at 5:40 p.m. on Friday and 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. Autographed pictures of Red Sox players will be distributed to fans that make a $10 donation (while supplies last). The fundraiser runs until the second inning with Red Sox Wives greeting fans at the gates until first pitch.

Over the past 27 years, the Strike Out Hunger event has raised over $367,600, providing more than 1.1 million meals for the hungry across eastern Massachusetts.
