FAN APPRECIATION WEEKEND
As a “thank you” to fans for their support throughout the season, the Orioles will surprise the most-spirited fans at each game with prizes, including Orioles prize packs and autographed items. Fan Appreciation Weekend will once again include sweepstakes and opportunities for fans to win prizes via the Orioles social media accounts.

Throughout the weekend, a special Fan Appreciation Snapchat filter will be available for use in the Snapchat app, and all fans who check in through the MLB.com Ballpark App will receive a 20 percent off MLBshop.com offer for Orioles merchandise. Five fans who click in will also unlock a code for a free R.B.I. Baseball 19 game. Additionally, one of the first 250 fans to check in each day will win an autographed baseball (Friday), autographed jersey (Saturday), or autographed bat (Sunday).

On Friday, one lucky fan will be selected to throw out the ceremonial first pitch, and another randomly-selected fan will accompany the umpires and managers to exchange lineup cards prior to first pitch.

O’STOBERFEST AT ORIOLE PARK
The Orioles will host the second O’stoberfest at Oriole Park, an Oktoberfest celebration, presented by RavenBeer, on Friday for fans ages 21 and over. The special ticket package includes a pregame party in the centerfield bullpen picnic area from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET including a wide variety of brands featuring Oktoberfest-style and other types of beers to sample, as well as German-style light fare. BOLIVAR VALERA VISIT TO ORIOLE PARK
Dominican media personality and actor BOLIVAR VALERA will be in attendance for Friday’s game against the Mariners as a special guest of Orioles infielder JONATHAN VILLAR, a native of La Vega, Dominican Republic. Valera will visit the clubhouse for a behind-the-scenes tour and will watch batting practice on the field.

MURAL INSTALLATION AT ORIOLE PARK
The Orioles and PNC Bank have partnered to bring unique murals created by local artists to Oriole Park. This collaboration intends to deepen connections of both organizations’ relationships with the local arts community, and allows Orioles fans to experience the incredible talents of several individuals. As part of the Orioles’ yearlong celebration of women’s equality and girls’ empowerment in honor of the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment in August 2020. The Orioles and PNC are selecting local female artists to serve as the leads on these projects.

This weekend, fans can stop by the Budweiser Roof Deck or the north end of Eutaw Street to view the second mural created as a part of this series, which is expected to be completed by Saturday’s game. Baltimore based female artist group RED SWAN WALLS, comprised of LINDY SWAN and HANNA MORAN, designed and is currently painting the ballpark’s second mural, which will be located on the back of the center field scoreboard and features a pair of Oriole birds. Fans are encouraged to share photos of themselves with the murals using the hashtag #BirdlandMurals.

BIRDLAND COMMUNITY HEROES: Van Brooks
The Orioles will recognize VAN BROOKS, Founder and Executive Director of SAFE Alternative Foundation for Education, as Friday’s Birdland Community Hero. After suffering a spinal cord injury playing football at Loyola Blakefield, Van was told he would be paralyzed from the neck down the rest of his life. He began searching for a new meaning to his life, and discovered he was meant to give back to those in the Baltimore Community. In 2012, Van founded SAFE, a nonprofit that informs inner
city youth about the importance of obtaining an education as well as having an alternate career plan in
anticipation for life’s deviations. Located in West Baltimore, SAFE stresses education through vocational training and exposure to hands-on, positive experiences. SAFE also offers after-school and summer learning programs free of charge to kids and teens in the neighborhood with an emphasis on literacy, health & fitness, and STEM education. The Orioles Charitable Foundation will make a $2,500 donation to SAFE Alternative Foundation for Education in support of the Birdland Community Heroes program.

FIRKIN FRIDAYS AT FLYING DOG TAP HOUSE
For the last Friday of this season, the Flying Dog Tap House, located on the first base side of the lower concourse, will host the final Firkin Friday, where they tapped a new cask for a different beer each week. This Friday, The Truth Imperial IPA with Pineapple and Guava will be available.

ORIOLE ADVOCATES CHALLENGER BASEBALL CLINIC AT ORIOLE PARK
The Orioles will partner with the Oriole Advocates Challenger Baseball Program to host a youth baseball clinic at Oriole Park on Saturday for children with developmental and/or physical challenges. Orioles pitcher PAUL FRY will teach children the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, throwing, and
baserunning by using larger and easy-to-use equipment. Participants will be from local youth Challenger baseball leagues, county recreation programs, and community programs with the mission of providing all children with an opportunity to enjoy the experience of playing baseball. The Oriole Advocate Challenger Baseball (OACB) Program was created in 2010 under the Oriole Advocates Charitable Foundation, a nonprofit organization which supports organizations throughout the world who promote baseball at all levels for individuals of all abilities. Since its inception, the OACB has hosted more than100 events benefitting more than 7,500 athletes throughout Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.

BALTIMORE ORIOLES RBI COLLEGE WORKSHOP PRESENTED BY T. ROWE PRICE
The Orioles will partner with CollegeBound Foundation to offer a free college workshop for high school students that play within the Baltimore Orioles RBI program, presented by T. Rowe Price. The
workshop will provide RBI players with the opportunity to learn how to take their game and education to the next level. The three-hour seminar is designed to teach students about college eligibility, careers in sports, high school graduation requirements, college life and expectations, nutrition, and more. As
part of the presentations, Orioles Head Athletic Trainer BRIAN EBEL will speak to participants about a career in sports. Following the seminar, participants will be provided with a complimentary lunch and ballpark tour.

ORIOLES MINOR LEAGUE AWARDS CEREMONY
The Orioles will recognize the 2019 Minor League Award winners during an on-field ceremony prior to Saturday’s game against the Mariners. Orioles Executive Vice President and General Manager MIKE ELIAS, Director of Minor League Operations KENT QUALLS, Supervisor, Domestic Scouting Operations BRAD CIOLEK, and Triple-A Norfolk General Manager JOE GREGORY will present the awards to the players and staff members. Fans are invited to meet and interact with top Orioles prospects RYAN MOUNTCASTLE, MIKE BAUMANN, and GRAYSON RODRIGUEZ during a Q&A session on the Budweiser Roof Deck in center field at 5:30 p.m. followed by a second Q&A session with Orioles Executive Vice President and General Manager MIKE ELIAS, Double-A Bowie Manager BUCK BRITTON, Class-A Delmarva Manager KYLE MOORE, and Class-A Delmarva Pitching Coach JUSTIN RAMSEY at 6:00 p.m. PAUL MANCANO, host of MASN All Access, will emcee the sessions. Player award winners will be available to the media from 5:15-5:30 p.m. on the Budweiser Roof Deck, while player development/managerial award winners will be available from 5:45-6:00, also on the Budweiser Roof Deck.

BIRDLAND COMMUNITY HERO: Ciera Daniel
The Orioles will recognize CIERA DANIEL, Executive Director, Young King’s Leadership Academy (YKLA), as Saturday’s Birdland Community Hero. As a former Baltimore middle school English teacher, Ciera recognized that the education system needed additional support for young boys of color and quickly realized the limits of the classroom setting. In 2017, Ciera and her husband started YKLA, a program that provides black male middle school students with unique learning opportunities beyond the classroom. Ciera’s program cultivates young scholars to enthusiastically strive for academic excellence and transformational leadership that positively impact the culture of their school and the communities that they live in. Ciera’s vision has helped thirty scholars at City Springs elementary middle school to receive mentorship, additional learning opportunities, leadership development, and a place of belonging. The Orioles Charitable Foundation will make a $2,500
donation to Young King’s Leadership Academy in support of the Birdland Community Heroes program.

Sunday, Sept. 22

2019 MOST VALUABLE ORIOLE AWARD
Prior to Sunday’s game against the Mariners, the Orioles will honor the 2019 Louis M. Hatter Most Valuable Oriole as selected by local media during an on-field ceremony. Local Baseball Writers’ Association of America (BBWAA) chairman ROCH KUBATKO will present the award.

FAN APPRECIATION WEEKEND
For the final day of Fan Appreciation Weekend and the final home game of the 2019 season, Orioles players will participate in a pregame “Shirts Off Our Backs” Jersey Ceremony where Orioles players will take the field pregame and give their jersey to pre-selected fans. Fans will return the jersey to
each player for the game, but will receive it back autographed by the respective player once the season concludes. Additionally, one child will be selected to announce “Play Ball!” which will officially begin the regular season home finale.

UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND WOMEN’S LACROSSE VISIT TO ORIOLE PARK
The Orioles will welcome members of the 2019 national champion University of Maryland Women’s Lacrosse team as part of a special on-field ceremony prior to the final home game of the season against the Mariners. Additionally, Head Coach CATHY REESE will throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to the game. One of the most decorated coaches at the collegiate level, Reese has led the Terps to five National Championships, 11 Final Fours, and 20 Conference Championships in 13 years as head coach.

BIRDLAND COMMUNITY HERO: Torrey Smith
The Orioles will recognize former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver, two-time Super Bowl champion, and University of Maryland alumnus TORREY SMITH as Sunday’s Birdland Community Hero. Torrey announced his retirement from the NFL last week after eight seasons in the league. Drawing upon their experiences growing up in underprivileged circumstances, Torrey and his wife, Chanel, made it a priority to give back to the community. With Torrey’s leverage, Chanel’s background
in teaching, and their combined passion for helping others, together they founded the Torrey Smith Family Fund, which works towards creating a society that is equitable and compassionate regardless of the circumstances into which you are born, the obstacles you must navigate, and the challenges you must overcome. Through his fund, Torrey has established multiple programs that provide students of all ages with resources such as school supplies, annual scholarships, and mentoring programs. Torrey and Chanel enjoy making people smile through efforts such as providing meals and gifts for families during the holiday season, creating beautiful Reading Oases for students, leading youth sports camps, and participating in any other charitable initiatives they can. The Orioles Charitable Foundation will make a $2,500 donation to the Torrey Smith Family Fund in support of the Birdland Community Heroes program. KIDS RUN THE BASES
Sundays are family days at the ballpark, when all fans ages 4-14 will be able to participate in a postgame Kids Run the Bases, presented by Weis Markets.
