MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed infielder/outfielder Luis Arraez on the 7-day Injured List with concussion-like symptoms.

Arraez suffered the injury in a home plate collision when he scored on a Josh Donaldson double in the third inning of last night’s win over the Texas Rangers. He has played in 25 games, hitting .291 (25-for-86) with two doubles, one triple, one home run, 11 RBI, 15 runs scored, 14 walks and a .398 on-base percentage.

To replace Arraez on the 26-man roster, the Twins have recalled infielder Nick Gordon from Triple-A St. Paul. Gordon, 25, was recalled by the Twins on April 23 and spent three days on the roster before being optioned on April 26. He will be in uniform for tonight’s game with the Rangers, looking to make his major league debut.
