Twins place Baily Ober on 10-day injured list

Charlie Barnes recalled from Triple-A St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed right-handed pitcher Bailey Ober on the 10-day Injured List with a right hip strain.

Ober has started 20 games for the Twins this season, going 3-3 with a 4.19 ERA (92.1 IP, 43 ER), 19 walks and 96 strikeouts.

To replace Ober on the 28-man roster, the Twins have recalled left-handed pitcher Charlie Barnes from Triple-A St. Paul. Barnes has started 16 games for the Saints this season, going 6-4 with a 3.79 ERA (76.0 IP, 32 ER), 24 walks and 62 strikeouts. He has also appeared in seven games (6 starts) for the Twins this season, going 0-3 with a 6.61 ERA (31.1 IP, 23 ER), 12 walks and 15 strikeouts. Barnes is due to start for the Twins tonight against Detroit.
