The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have reinstated first baseman C.J. Cron and outfielder Eddie Rosario from the 10-day Injured List.
Cron, who missed the Twins last five games with right thumb inflammation, is hitting .266 (80-for-301) with 18 doubles, 17 home runs, 54 RBI, 23 walks and an .821 OPS in 78 games this season. To make room for Cron and Rosario on the 25-man roster, the Twins have placed outfielder Byron Buxton on the 7-day Injured List (retro 7/14) with concussion-like symptoms and designated right-handed pitcher Mike Morin for release or assignment. Buxton has appeared in 75 games this season, hitting .249 (61-for-245) with 24 doubles, four triples, nine home runs, 42 RBI and a .798 OPS. Morin appeared in 23 games for the Twins this season, posting a 3.18 ERA (22.2 IP, 8 ER), with one save, two walks and 11 strikeouts.
