Red Sox to Begin 2021 Spring Training Season on February 26 at JetBlue Park

The Boston Red Sox today announced that the 2021 Spring Training exhibition season begins Friday, February 26 at JetBlue Park at Fenway South in Lee County, FL, where the team plays the team plays a total of 18 home games, including 17 Grapefruit League games and a game against the Northeastern University Huskies. Red Sox Spring Training is presented by CVS Health.

For the 19th consecutive year, the team opens its exhibition season Friday, February 26, with its game against the Northeastern University Huskies. The Grapefruit League schedule launches at JetBlue Park on Saturday, February 27, against the Pittsburgh Pirates – the only home contests against the Pirates at JetBlue Park. The Red Sox will travel to Pirate City in Bradenton on March 19 and 27.

The Red Sox will face their American League East rival New York Yankees at JetBlue Park on Wednesday, March 3, and will travel to George M. Steinbrenner Field on Wednesday, March 10. Other division matchups include five games against the Tampa Bay Rays, four games against the Baltimore Orioles, and two games against the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Red Sox will host their Lee County Commissioners Cup rival, the Minnesota Twins, at JetBlue Park on March 12 and March 18. A total of four matchups will take place between the cross-town foes with the Red Sox heading to Hammond Stadium on March 5 and again on March 27 for a split squad game.

The Red Sox will close out the Spring Training season with two exhibition games against the Atlanta Braves – the first taking place Monday, March 29, at CoolToday Park in North Port, and the final exhibition match of the season taking place on Tuesday, March 30, at JetBlue Park.

The 2021 season will be the Red Sox’ tenth at JetBlue Park at Fenway South. The 2021 Red Sox Spring Training schedule is subject to change. Games times and ticketing information will be announced at a later date.
