Reds Homestand Highlights, April 9-11

Tuesday, April 9, 2019 – Reds vs. Miami Marlins, 6:40 p.m. (Gates open at 5:40 p.m.)

Dominican Players Ceremony: Reds minor leaguers Emilio Garcia, Raul Hernandez and the family of Jairo Capellán will be honored during pregame ceremonies. Emilio, Raul and Jairo were teammates on the Dominican Summer League Reds last year and involved in a car crash in November that took the life of Capellán. Front office staff from the Dominican Reds team will also be recognized for their assistance following the accident. 

Wednesday, April 10, 2019 – Reds vs. Miami Marlins, 6:40 p.m. (Gates open at 5:40 p.m.)

Ceremonial Pitch: Parris Campbell, Jr., projected first-round NFL draft pick (WR) from The Ohio State University, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. He was first-team All-Big Ten selection as a senior, leading the Buckeyes with 90 receptions for 1,063 yards (11.8 average) and 12 touchdowns in 14 starts.

Thursday, April 11, 2019 – Reds vs. Miami Marlins, 12:35 p.m. (Gates open at 11:05 a.m.)

Ceremonial Pitch: Kelly Klein, a professional wrestler and the current Women of Honor World Champion, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch. The Cincinnati area resident won the title for the second time this past Saturday at the G1 Supercard presented by Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Business Day Special: For $20, fans can purchase a View Level ticket and receive $10 in concession credits. Drop your business card in the container at a Fan Accommodation Station and you could win tickets to the next Business Day Game. Some restrictions apply. Available at reds.com/SkipWork.

Senior Day: Fans 50 and older may purchase select non-premium tickets at half-price in advance of game day only. Each ticket includes free same-day admission to the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum. Thirsty Thursday: For all Thursday home games, fans can purchase a $30 package that includes a Field Box ticket and a $10 concession credit valid for food and beverages. Available only at reds.com/Thursday.

Reds Hall of Fame & Museum presented by Dinsmore

Veterans and Kids Free: Thanks to the Sargent Family Foundation, all veterans and active military personnel receive free admission to the recently-renovated Reds Hall of Fame & Museum. Jackie Robinson Day at the Reds Youth Academy, April 13: For the second year in a row, the Reds Futures High School Showcase will celebrate Jackie Robinson Day by hosting teams from Cincinnati Public Schools at the Reds Youth Academy on April 13. Baseball and softball players from Aiken, Gamble Montessori, Hughes, Oyler, Riverview East, Shroder and Woodward will wear “42” jerseys in honor of Robinson, who would have been 100 years old in 2019. Redlegs Run, June 8: Registration is open for the Redlegs Run on Saturday, June 8, benefiting the Reds Community Fund. The 18th annual race will once again start outside Great American Ball Park and conclude with participants crossing the finish line on the warning track inside the ballpark.
