Orioles announce information for ALDS Game 2

The Orioles will host Game 2 of the American League Division Series on Sunday, October 8, at 4:07 p.m. ET. Fans are encouraged to wear orange to show their Birdland pride. Additional ballpark information and guidelines can be found at Orioles.com/Postseason.

PARKING LOTS:

Parking lots will open to fans at 12:30 p.m., 3.5 hours prior to first pitch.

GATES OPEN:

Ballpark gates will open at 1:30 p.m., 2.5 hours prior to first pitch.

FIRST PITCH:

First pitch is scheduled for 4:07 p.m.

CEREMONIAL FIRST PITCH:

The Orioles will welcome Orioles Hall of Famer J.J. HARDY to throw the ceremonial first pitch. Hardy played the last seven seasons of his 13-year career with the Orioles from 2011-17, winning three consecutive Gold Glove Awards from 2012-14. He ranks third among Orioles shortstops in games played behind Cal Ripken, Jr. and Mark Belanger, and led the league in fielding percentage three times. He helped the team to three Postseason berths in 2012, 2014, and 2016. He was the starting shortstop for the American League All-Star team in 2013, when he also won the league’s Silver Slugger Award at shortstop. He ranks among the top 25 players in Orioles history in games played, hits, doubles, and home runs.

NATIONAL ANTHEM:

The Orioles will welcome 13-year-old LUCY HANSEN to sing both the national anthem pregame, and God Bless America during the seventh inning stretch. The Richmond, Va. resident is a devoted Orioles fan. A locally well-renowned anthem singer, Hansen is a frequent performer at sporting events throughout the Mid-Atlantic.

COMMUNITY GROUPS:

For each 2023 Postseason game at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, the Orioles will invite guests from various community groups that they work with year-round to enjoy the excitement of Orioles playoff baseball. Groups will also receive concessions vouchers and Orioles hats. For Game 2 of the ALDS, the Orioles will welcome members of THE ARC BALTIMORE, a local organization that supports people with developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives with a sense of belonging, purpose, and meaningful relationships. The Orioles have employed members of The ARC at ballpark concessions stands throughout the 2023 season, and players and coaches, their families, and front office employees participated n a holiday Adopt-A-Family volunteer event during the 2022 holiday season.
