The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have reinstated shortstop Trevor Story from the 10-day disabled list and have optioned right-handed pitcher Jeff Hoffman to Triple-A Albuquerque.

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have reinstated shortstop Trevor Story from the 10-day disabled list and have optioned right-handed pitcher Jeff Hoffman to Triple-A Albuquerque.

· Story, 24, was placed on the 10-day disabled list May 11 with a strained left shoulder … in four rehab games with Albuquerque, batted .273 (3-for-11) with one home run, two RBI, two walks, three strikeouts and one stolen base …  has batted .180 (20-for-111) with six doubles, six home runs, 15 RBI, 17 walks and 48 strikeouts in 33 games with the Rockies this season … had hit safely in three of his past four games prior to being placed on the disabled list, going 5-for-14 (.357) … led all Major League rookies with 27 home runs in 2016, the most by a rookie shortstop in National League history … was originally drafted by the Rockies in the first round of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft.
