Royals select eight players on second day of MLB Draft
The Kansas City Royals completed the second day of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft today, selecting eight players after drafting right-handed pitcher A.J. Puckett in the second round (67th overall) on Thursday.

Kansas City, Mo. - The Kansas City Royals completed the second day of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft today, selecting eight players after drafting right-handed pitcher A.J. Puckett in the second round (67th overall) on Thursday.
The club drafted just two high school players and six from the college ranks today. Among the nine players selected over the first two days, the position-by-position breakdown includes: five pitchers (four right-handers, one left-hander), two infielders and two outfielders.
The draft concludes with rounds 11-40 tomorrow, beginning at 11 a.m. CDT.
