Saturday's Rangers-A's game postponed due to rain

The scheduled game between the Texas Rangers and Oakland A’s on Saturday night at Globe Life Park in Arlington has been postponed due to rain. The game was called at 7:50 p.m. after a delay of 45 minutes..

The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on Saturday, June 8 beginning at 1:05 p.m. The regularly scheduled game between the Rangers and A’s will start at the listed time of 8:05 p.m. that evening Prior to the night game, the Rangers will retire Adrian Beltre’s number 29 in a ceremony beginning at 7:30 p.m. CT. Only fans holding tickets to the night game will be able to attend the Beltre ceremony.

Tickets for Saturday’s game are good for the 1:05 p.m. game on June 8 and do not need to be exchanged.

Fans who purchased cash parking in a Texas Rangers operated parking lot for Saturday’s game can bring their parking receipt to the June 8 1:05 p.m. game to receive complimentary parking.

This marks the Rangers’ first postponement at home since April 17, 2016 versus Baltimore, and first overall since September 5, 2017 at Atlanta. Saturday would be the first doubleheader in Arlington since a split twinbill on September 30, 2012 against the Los Angeles Angels. The team’s last doubleheader overall was on September 5, 2017 at Atlanta. The Rangers have gone 6-1-8 in the club’s last 15 twinbills (day/night or split) dating to 2007.
