The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have returned outfielder Byron Buxton from rehab assignment and have reinstated him from the 10-day disabled list. Buxton missed 14 games on the disabled list with a left groin strain.
In a corresponding move, the Twins have recalled right-handed pitcher Dillon Gee from Triple-A Rochester. Gee, 31, has a record of 3-1 with a 2.00 ERA (27.0 IP, 6 ER), three walks and 20 strikeouts in five starts for the Red Wings this season.
