Twins sign Logan Morrison to one-year contract

The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have signed first baseman/designated hitter Logan Morrison to a one-year contract with a club option for 2019.

The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have signed first baseman/designated hitter Logan Morrison to a one-year contract with a club option for 2019.
Morrison, 30, has played eight seasons in the major leagues with the Marlins (2010-13), Mariners (2014-15) and Rays (2016-17). The left-handed hitting Morrison spent 2017 with Tampa Bay, batting .246 (126-for-512) with 38 home runs, 22 doubles, 85 RBI and 81 walks. He was originally drafted by the Marlins in the 22nd round of the 2005 MLB Player Draft.
The Kansas City native has appeared in 864 career games, batting .245 (723-for-2953) with 122 home runs, 21 triples, 148 doubles, 382 RBI and 353 walks.
