White Sox Invite 20 Players to Spring Training

The Chicago White Sox have agreed to terms on minor-league contracts with the following nine free agents: right-handed pitchers Phillippe Aumont, Colin Kleven, Matt Lollis and Josh Wall; left-handed pitchers Matt Purke and Nik Turley; catcher Hector Sanchez; and infielders Steve Lombardozzi and Andy Parrino.

The Chicago White Sox have agreed to terms on minor-league contracts with the following nine free agents: right-handed pitchers Phillippe Aumont, Colin Kleven, Matt Lollis and Josh Wall; left-handed pitchers Matt Purke and Nik Turley; catcher Hector Sanchez; and infielders Steve Lombardozzi and Andy Parrino.
All nine players, in addition to 11 others from within the organization, have received non-roster invites to the club's spring training camp in Glendale, Ariz.
Right-handers Tyler Danish, Carson Fulmer and Peter Tago, left-handers Jordan Guerrero and Will Lamb, catcher Omar Narvaez, infielder Tim Anderson and outfielders Jason Coats, Adam Engel, Courtney Hawkins and Jacob May received invites to major-league camp from within the system. Seven of the 20 invitees are rated among the club's Top 10 Prospects by Baseball America entering the 2016 season, while five have major-league experience.
Pitchers and catchers report to spring training on Friday, February 19, including physicals and a workout. Position players will report and undergo physicals on Tuesday, February 23rd. The first full-squad workout also will take place on the 23rd.
The White Sox begin the 2016 Cactus League season on March 3 as the "visiting" team against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Camelback Ranch - Glendale. Chicago will play its first official home game on March 4 against division-rival Cleveland.
