Following today's series finale vs. San Diego, the Chicago White Sox optioned infielder Cody Asche to Class AAA Charlotte.
 
Asche is hitting .105 (6-57) with one double, one home run and four RBI in 18 games (16 starts) this season, his first with the White Sox after signing as a free agent on December 22, 2016.
 
The White Sox will make a corresponding roster move prior to tomorrow night's series opener at the Angels.
