CHICAGO – Following today’s series finale vs. the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago White Sox optioned outfielder Daniel Palka to Class AAA Charlotte.

Palka, 27, is 1-45 (.022) with two RBI in 17 games over two stints with the White Sox this season. He is hitting .271/.374/.548 (60-221) with 13 doubles, 16 home runs, 42 RBI and 48 runs scored over 59 games with Charlotte in 2019.

The White Sox will make a corresponding roster move prior to Friday’s series opener at Oakland.
