Prior to this afternoon’s game vs. Cleveland, the Chicago White Sox optioned right-handed pitcher José Ruiz to Class AAA Charlotte.

With the move, the White Sox have 34 players remaining in camp: 17 pitchers, three catchers, nine infielders and five outfielders.
