White Sox place Nate Jones on disabled list

Prior to tonight's game vs. Cleveland, the Chicago White Sox placed right-handed pitcher Nate Jones on the 10-day disabled list with a pronator muscle strain in his right arm and recalled right-hander Juan Minaya from Class AAA Charlotte.

CHICAGO -- Prior to tonight's game vs. Cleveland, the Chicago White Sox placed right-handed pitcher Nate Jones on the 10-day disabled list with a pronator muscle strain in his right arm and recalled right-hander Juan Minaya from Class AAA Charlotte.
Minaya, 27, is 1-3 with a 4.24 ERA (11 ER/23.1 IP), two saves and 27 strikeouts over 19 relief appearances with the Knights this season. He also has made five appearances over three stints with the White Sox in 2018, allowing four runs on three hits and nine walks over 3.1 IP.
Minaya, 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, made 40 appearances with Chicago in 2017, going 3-2 with a 4.53 ERA (22 ER/43.2 IP), 51 strikeouts and nine saves. He led all American League rookies in saves.
Jones, 32, is 2-2 with a 4.01 ERA (11 ER/24.2 IP), 27 strikeouts and four saves over 27 relief appearances this season, his seventh with the White Sox.
