Prior to the first game of today's straight doubleheader vs. Cleveland, the Chicago White Sox recalled right-handed pitcher Tommy Kahnle from Class AAA Charlotte to serve as the 26th player on the Major League roster. He will be active for both games vs. the Indians.
Kahnle, 26, has made just one appearance over two stints with the White Sox this season, working 1.0 scoreless IP in relief on April 29 at Baltimore. He has gone 1-0 with a 2.76 ERA (5 ER/16.1 IP), two saves, 18 strikeouts and a .158 opponents average (9-57) over 13 relief appearances with the Knights this season. Kahnle is limiting right-handers to a .122 average (5-41) with 15 strikeouts.
