The Yankees today signed 1B Logan Morrison to a Minor League contract.

Morrison, 31, has played for four teams over nine Major League seasons (2010-18), hitting .239/.325/.427 (782-for-3,271) with 408 runs, 161 doubles, 21 triples, 137 HR, 421 RBIs and 387 walks in 959 games with the Florida/Miami Marlins (2010-13), Seattle Mariners (2014-15), Tampa Bay Rays (2016-17) and Minnesota Twins (2018).

The left-handed hitter hit .186 (59-for-318) with 41R, 13 doubles, 15HR, 39RBI and 34BB in 95 games with the Twins in 2018. In 2017, he set a career-high by hitting 38 home runs with Tampa Bay, tied for fifth-most in the American League.

Born in Kansas City, Mo., Morrison was originally drafted by Florida in the 22nd round of the 2005 First-Year Player Draft out of Maple Woods Community College (Mo.).
