Globe Life Field Security Measures

Security Measures

  • Metal Detectors will be in use at every admission gate
  • Presence of uniformed law enforcement and security guards at every game
  • Regular security awareness training and assessment
  • Daily inspection of the ballpark prior to gates opening
  • All permitted bags will be thoroughly inspected prior to entry
  • Identification and inspection of all ballpark deliveries
  • Continued communication with all local, state and federal law enforcement and public safety agencies

Metal Detector Procedures

  • Remove cell phones, cameras, keys, and other metal objects from your person
  • Shoes do not need to be removed
  • All bags will be subject inspection by a trained security officer

Prohibited Items

  • Alcohol
  • Knives
  • Firearms
  • With the exception of retired and off-duty officers with proper credentials
  • Laser pointers
  • Metal cans
  • Glass containers
  • Hard coolers
  • Oversized bags (larger than 16"x16"x8")
  • Clothing with offensive or profane language
  • Banners that interfere with the game or have political or commercial messages
  • Selfie sticks
  • Drones

Bag Policy

  • Fans may only bring in soft-sided, collapsible coolers without plastic inserts (liners must be removable). All bags and purses must be 16" x 16" x 8" or smaller and are subject to search by ballpark staff.

Prohibited Actions

  • The use of offensive language is strictly prohibited at Globe Life Field. Those found guilty will be subject to immediate ejection. Abusive language includes but is not limited to offensive language pertaining to a player's, fan's, or staff member's
  • Race
  • Ethnicity
  • Gender
  • Religion
  • Disability
  • Sexual orientation
  • National origin
  • Placing, dropping or tossing any object onto the field
  • Entering the field of play
  • Smoking outside of the designated areas on the edge of the concourse
  • Damaging Texas Rangers or Globe Life Field property

Text Security

  • Any guest encountering difficulties with any other guest is encouraged to notify any representative of Globe Life Field. Guest Assist allows text message communication between fans and facility operations. If a ballpark guest is in need of assistance, they may use their mobile phone to text REPORT to 69050. The request is received by the command center, and Rangers personnel are able to respond immediately to diagnose the problem and dispatch security, or medical staff to the guest's location, as needed. The system is NOT for ordering food and beverages.

Emergency Evacuation

  • Should there be an immediate need to evacuate Globe Life Field; Guests will be given instructions via, to the extent available, the public-address/open-caption systems and the televisions in the concourses. Guests are encouraged to:
  • be aware of their location in the ballpark at all times;
  • identify the two exits located nearest to their seats;
  • listen, watch for and follow instructions from the public-address system, video boards and concourse televisions (if available);
  • ask for assistance and information from Globe Life Field team members* , police, and medical and security personnel; and
  • Designate a meeting location outside the ballpark for their group in the event that they become separated during an evacuation.
