Rangers activate of Delino DeShields from concussion list

The Texas Rangers this morning announced that the club has activated outfielder Delino DeShields from the seven-day concussion list and optioned outfielder Drew Robinson to Triple-A Round Rock.

The Texas Rangers this morning announced that the club has activated outfielder Delino DeShields from the seven-day concussion list and optioned outfielder Drew Robinson to Triple-A Round Rock.
DeShields is in the starting lineup as the centerfielder for today's series finale against the Yankees in New York. He was placed on the concussion list beginning on the evening of August 3. He has batted .208 with 2 home runs and 21 RBI over 81 games spanning two stints with the Rangers this season (Opening Day-July 23 and July 28-current). The club's Opening Day centerfielder, he was on the 10-day disabled list from March 31-April 21 with a fractured hamate bone in his left hand. He leads the American League with 10 bunt hits and 9 sacrifice bunts (tied), also ranking tenth in the league with a team-high 18 stolen bases.
Robinson has batted .186 with one home run and 5 RBI in 32 games spanning two stints with the Rangers this season (Opening Day-May 20, August 4-11).
