Rangers to participate in Cowboy Santas Toy Drive for 8th straight year

For the eighth consecutive year the Texas Rangers will participate in the 2018 Cowboy Santas Toy Drive. Rangers' pitcher Chris Martin is the honorary chair for the holiday event.

The Cowboy Santas Toy Drive provides toys to children from low-income Tarrant County families during the holiday season. Beginning Saturday, December 1 and continuing through Monday, December 17, new and unwrapped toys or books may be dropped off at the Texas Rangers Grand Slam Gift Shop at Globe Life Park in Arlington and the Rangers Fort Worth Team Shop at 316 Main St. during regular store hours. Items may also be dropped off at all Fort Worth Police and Fire Stations. u5:p
On Monday, December 17, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., the Rangers will sponsor the Cowboy Santas Toy Drive Finale Event at Globe Life Park in Arlington in the center field Vandergriff Plaza area. Rangers personalities will be on hand to sign autographs for the event. Holiday movies will be shown on the video screen, the Rangers KidsZone will be open, and drink and food specials will be provided by Delaware North Sportservice. Other activities will include face painting, crafts, a photo booth, and a special appearance by Santa Claus.
Donations of new, unwrapped toys and books for boys and girls, newborn to age 12, will be greatly encouraged at the finale event. u5:p
Fans attending the December 17 Toy Drive event may park in Lot C free of charge and enter Globe Life Park through the Grand Slam Gift Shop. u5:p

About Cowboy Santas: The Cowboy Santas Program Inc. is a non-profit program that provides toys to children from low-income Tarrant County families during the holiday season. The program began in 1981 at several Fort Worth Community Centers, and over the last two decades, has grown to cover all of Tarrant County. Cowboy Santas is recognized by the Internal Revenue Services as a 501 C(3) charitable organization. u5:p
The program is headquartered in the City of Fort Worth Neighborhood Services Department. During the holiday season, Cowboy Santas provides toys for up to 10,000 children from more than 5,000 families.
