Texas Rangers announce 2018 theme nights schedule

Military Appreciation Nights return, Dino DeShields & Big Chill on a Sill debut

The Texas Rangers today announced the schedule of special Theme Night ticket offers for the 2018 season. The lineup includes more than 30 games for which a Theme Night ticket purchase unlocks access to unique Rangers-themed items.

Dino Day leads off the player-themed offerings, as fans with a Theme Night ticket for the May 6 contest against Boston have a chance to pick up a Dino DeShields plush. The west side of the Globe Life Park concourse will become a prehistoric fun zone for that day, with help from the Dallas Zoo and the Dinosaur People.

Fans can help celebrate Beltre the giraffe's first birthday on June 8, as a Theme Night ticket for that night's contest against the Astros provides access to a Beltre the Giraffe bobblehead. After Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre recorded his 3,000 hit on July 30, 2017, the Fort Worth Zoo announced they had named their male giraffe calf Beltre in honor of the third baseman.

Mark the halfway point to Christmas with Nomar Mazara's Big Chill on a Sill plush, which will be available with the Theme Night ticket to the July 25 game against the Oakland A's.

A popular addition to the 2017 Theme Nights roster, Military Appreciation Nights will return for the 2018 season. The Texas Rangers will honor the Marines on May 21, the Army on June 15, Special Operations Forces on June 27, the Navy on July 3, the Air Force of July 4, and the Coast Guard on August 16. On each of those dates, a Rangers cap themed to honor that branch of the military, will be available with the Theme Night ticket.

Theme Night tickets must be purchased by visiting texasrangers.com/themenights. The associated giveaway items are available as long as supplies last and only to fans holding the special Theme Night ticket. Theme Night tickets will be available beginning March 2 when individual tickets go on sale. And continue to check texasrangers.com/themenights throughout the season as more special dates are announced.
