Texas Rangers to host Blue Jays, Athletics in five-game homestand September 9-14

Arlington, Texas— The Texas Rangers will return to Globe Life Field tomorrow, Friday, September 9, for a five-game homestand against the Toronto Blue Jays and Oakland Athletics.

The Rangers will open the homestand with a three-game series against the Blue Jays. Games will be played on Friday, September 9, at 7:05 p.m., Saturday, September 10, at 6:05 p.m., and Sunday, September 11, at 1:35 p.m.

After a doubleheader in Miami on Monday, the team will return to Globe Life Field on Tuesday to open a two-game series against the A’s. The Rangers and A’s will face off on Tuesday, September 13, at 7:05 p.m. and Wednesday, September 14, at 7:05 p.m.

Texas Rangers pitcher Jon Gray and his wife Jacklyn will host a group of Sheppard Air Force Base service men and women at Friday’s game as part of their #MissionGrayWolf22 military initiative. Gray will provide tickets, food, and parking to the group of service men and women and welcome them to the ballpark with a private pre-game meet and greet.

Oklahoma University Night at Globe Life Field will be held on Friday, September 9. Special ticket holders will receive a limited-edition Jon Gray Texas Rangers-OU crossover jersey. Tickets for OU Night are available at texasrangers.com/udays.

The first 30,000 fans in the ballpark Saturday will receive a 50th Anniversary The Texas Battery poster featuring Nolan Ryan and Iván “Pudge” Rodríguez. As part of the giveaway, 100 copies of the poster signed by MLB Hall of Famer “Pudge” Rodríguez will be randomly distributed.

The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation will showcase local veterans’ art therapy projects at Globe Life Field on Saturday, September 10, in partnership with Wounded Warrior Project and its Independence Program.

Veterans who have benefited from Wounded Warrior Project’s support and alternative therapy programs, specifically art therapy, will showcase their artwork on the Globe Life Field main concourse behind home plate, beginning at 4 p.m.

The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation will also donate all proceeds from Saturday’s Texas 2 Split 50/50 Raffle to Wounded Warrior Project to further their mission to honor and empower Wounded Warriors.

Texas Rangers alumni Bobby Witt will sign copies of the newly released “50 Years of Texas Rangers Baseball” commemorative hardcover book in the Grand Slam Team Store from 5-6 p.m. on Saturday.

On Sunday, September 11, the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation will donate all proceeds from the Texas 2 Split 50/50 Raffle to the Guns & Hoses Foundation. During a special pre-game presentation, Texas Rangers partner Luxor Staffing will donate an additional $10,000 to the Guns & Hoses Foundation.

The Rangers will also host Veterans Appreciation Night on Saturday and Military Appreciation Day on Sunday. Special ticket holders will get their choice of a Texas Rangers hat co-branded with the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, or Coast Guard. Tuesday nights at Globe Life Field are Family Fun Tuesdays, offering fans significant savings on tickets, parking, and concessions. Additionally, from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m., two current Texas Rangers players or coaches will be signing autographs for children 13 and under. The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation is welcoming kids back to school by donating 6,700 tickets to Tuesday evening’s game to students in schools across the DFW Metroplex.

The University of Texas at Arlington Night at Globe Life Field will be held on Wednesday, September 14. Special ticket holders will receive a limited-edition co-branded Rangers-UTA cap, presented by Bally Sports Southwest. Tickets for UTA Night are available at texasrangers.com/udays.
