Rays place Miller on DL with groin strain

Club summons righty Weber from Triple-A; Kiermaier day to day

BOSTON -- The Rays placed Brad Miller on the 10-day disabled list after the first baseman sustained a left groin strain in Sunday's 8-7 loss to the Red Sox. 
Miller said he felt his left groin tighten after his third at-bat.
"I tried for a couple of innings to shake it off," Miller said. "But I knew it probably wasn't going to be smart to stay in there."
To fill Miller's spot on the roster, the Rays summoned right-hander from Triple-A Durham.
, meanwhile, is also hobbled after fouling a ball off his right foot. Kiermaier believes he'll play on Monday when the team gets to Chicago. 

Kiermaier injured himself when he hit in the eighth and batted against Boston reliever . After fouling the ball off his foot, he drew a walk and he stayed in the game but remained in pain.
"I'll be OK," Kiermaier said. "I couldn't have squared that up any more. ... That hurt. Even going on defense. Definitely moving gingerly for the rest of the game. I'll probably be sore tomorrow."
Kiermaier said he didn't need X-rays.
