Rays reinstate Chirinos, Guyer from 60-day DL

ST. PETERSBURG -- The Rays took care of some transactional activity on Friday, when they reinstated from the 60-day disabled list catcher Robinson Chirinos and outfielder Brandon Guyer and selected left-hander Franklin De Los Santos.

Chirinos and Guyer were both acquired prior to the 2011 season in the deal that sent Matt Garza to the Cubs.

Chirinos suffered a concussion during Spring Training and Guyer had left-shoulder surgery, tabling both for the season.

De Los Santos compiled a 7-2 record with a 2.11 ERA in 51 combined appearances at Double-A Montgomery and Triple-A Durham.

The Rays' 40-man roster currently has 34 players.
