March 16th, 2021

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—The Tampa Bay Rays have announced new health and safety protocols along with single-game ticket information for the first month of home games at Tropicana Field. Ticket information for future games will be announced as the season progresses. The 2021 season is presented by Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.

The Rays are working with Major League Baseball, local public health officials and their partners at Bayfront Health to keep fans and staff safe and healthy this season. Measures taken include the installation of UV lights and specially-designed electronic devices inside air conditioning units that break down a wide variety of harmful contaminants, including coronavirus. Air filters with a higher minimum efficiency reporting value (MERV) rating, which more effectively trap small particles, have also been added throughout the building.

Fans will be asked to participate in health and safety measures by wearing face masks at all times, except while actively eating or drinking in their seats, and washing or sanitizing hands frequently. Tickets will be available in socially distant seating pods of up to six seats. To accommodate six or more feet of separation between pods, the 300 level of Tropicana Field will be reopened for the 2021 season, and the overall capacity will be limited to approximately 9,000 fans. For a full list of measures taken to ensure fan and staff safety at Tropicana Field, visit RaysBaseball.com/HealthandSafety.

“We are excited to welcome back fans to Tropicana Field for the 2021 season,” said Rays President Matt Silverman. “Although capacity will be limited to start, we are hopeful that conditions will continue to improve allowing for more fans to join us as the season progresses.”

Season members have access, based upon their tenure and membership level, to purchase tickets through an exclusive online presale.
