Rays host Orioles in three-game homestand

Highlights Include Margaritaville Night and USF Night

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—The Tampa Bay Rays return to Tropicana Field tomorrow for a three-game homestand against the Baltimore Orioles (August 12-14). The 2022 Rays season is presented by Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.

Friday, August 12 vs. Baltimore Orioles

  • First Pitch: 7:10 p.m.
  • Gates Open: 5:40 p.m.
  • National Anthem: Will be performed by Erika Reynolds.
  • Ceremonial First Pitch: David K. Dunning, James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital Executive Director and Col. (Ret.) U.S. Army.
  • Partnership Recognition: The Rays Baseball Foundation will recognize its partnership with the City of St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation department and present them with a $10,000 grant.
  • Stuff the Bus Supply Drive: The Rays will host a school supply drive benefitting the Hillsborough Education Foundation and Pinellas Education Foundation outside Gate 4 and Lot 6. Accepted items include backpacks, binders, crayons and notebooks. Fans who donate will receive a ticket voucher valid for a future 2022 regular-season home game. Saturday, August 13 vs. Baltimore Orioles

  • First Pitch: 4:10 p.m.
  • Gates Open: 2:40 p.m.
  • National Anthem: Will be performed by Corrin Farro.
  • Ceremonial First Pitch: Fanatics All-In Challenge winner Silas Cunningham.
  • Margaritaville Night: Fans can purchase a ticket package that includes a seat in the Lower Level or 200 Level sections and a limited-edition Tampa Bay Rays Margaritaville Straw Hat. The hats can be picked up at the Redemption Centers located behind section 108 or near section 222.   • Chop at the Trop: Fans can purchase a ticket package that includes a seat in the Lower Level and a Rays Chop at the Trop Stainless Steel Tumbler. Tumblers will be distributed through the 5th inning and can be picked up at the Redemption Center located inside the Gate 3 concourse.   • Rays Baseball Magic Clinic: In the morning, prior to Saturday’s game, the Rays will host their second Rays Baseball Magic Clinic at Tropicana Field. Players from Buddy Baseball, along with their buddies, coaches, volunteers and families, will experience various stations throughout the clinic, receiving instruction on hitting, pitching, fielding and a few innings of a game. Clinic participants will also attend Saturday’s game against the Orioles.
  • Lowe’s Legends: Brandon Lowe and his wife, Madison, will host players and coaches from West Tampa Little League for a pregame meet and greet, as part of their Lowe’s Legends program, created to provide special experiences and inspiration for underrepresented youth baseball and softball players.

Sunday, August 14 vs. Baltimore Orioles

  • National Anthem: Will be performed by Katie Lombardo.
  • Ceremonial First Pitch: University of South Florida President Rhea Law.
  • 7th Inning Stretch: Will be performed by University of South Florida St. Petersburg Chancellor Christian Hardigree.
  • USF Day: Fans can purchase a ticket package that includes a seat in the Lower Level and a Rays/USF co-branded Dri-Fit Hat. USF/Rays co-branded hats will be distributed through the 5th inning and can be picked up at the Redemption Center located inside the Gate 3 concourse.   • Salute to Service: Active-duty and retired military members, as well as first responders and teachers, can receive 50 percent off tickets in the Rays Club, Lower Box and 200 Level sections.   • Reading with the Rays: Children from the Florida Institute for Community Studies will enjoy a pre-game Reading with the Rays reading event in Spanish with Harold Ramirez. In its 15th season, Reading with the Rays presented by Suncoast Credit Union is an incentive-based reading program that encourages Pre-K to 12th grade students to avoid summer learning loss by reading for 24 hours during the summer months.

  • Lowe’s Home Runs for Hope: For every home run Rays infielder Brandon Lowe hits, he and his wife, Madison, will donate $100 to the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay. The Rays Baseball Foundation will also contribute $100 per home run in support of Lowe’s “Home Runs for Hope” campaign. The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay provides a range of services to ensure that no one in the community has to face a crisis alone. It is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year as the community gateway to help. People who are struggling with a variety of crisis situations including sexual assault or abuse, domestic violence, financial distress, substance abuse, medical emergency, suicidal thoughts and other emotional or situational problems can connect to hope and healing.

  • 50/50 Charity Raffle: For all home games, fans can obtain 50/50 charity raffle tickets at Tropicana Field and online at RaysBaseball.com/5050. Online raffle tickets are open to all persons who are in the State of Florida (excluding Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties) and 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Fans who obtain their raffle tickets prior to first pitch will receive twice the number of entries for their donation.
