The Hall of Fame Class of 2012 is already being celebrated in Cooperstown, N.Y., where exhibits are on display honoring Barry Larkin and Ron Santo, this year's inductees.
The first-floor exhibits, one for each player, will be on display through May 2013 near the gallery of Hall of Fame plaques. Santo and Larkin's bronzed images will be unveiled there during Hall of Fame Weekend, July 20-23.
Larkin's All-Star Game jerseys from 1990-95 are there, along with the spikes he wore in the 1990 World Series, when his Reds swept the A's and he batted .353. Santo's jersey from the 1969 Cubs season, one of Chicago's best, is there too, along with his 1968 Gold Glove Award.
Admission to the exhibits is included with regular admission to the Hall, which is open seven days a week year-round, aside from Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Summer hours are 9 a.m.-9 p.m. ET until the day before Labor Day. Tickets are $19.50 for adults (13 and over), with special pricing for seniors, veterans and American Legion members. Youths six and under and Hall members pay no admission.
This year's induction ceremony is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. ET July 22 at the Clark Sports Center in Cooperstown and will be televised on MLB Network. Admission to the ceremony is free.
