Chapman again MLB's Delivery Man of Month

CINCINNATI -- For the second straight month, Reds closer Aroldis Chapman was named Major League Baseball's Delivery Man of the Month for August. The award recognizes the most outstanding relief pitcher during each month of the regular season, and is voted on by a panel from MLB.

Chapman, who entered Tuesday 5-4 with a 1.25 ERA and 34 saves in 61 games this season, was 1-0 with a 0.68 ERA and a league-best 11 saves over 13 appearances last month. He allowed eight hits and two walks with 18 strikeouts.

The only previous winner of back-to-back awards was Rafael Soriano of the Rays in July and August 2010.

Chapman, who has not blown a save since June 24 against the Twins, has converted 26 in a row to establish a new club single-season record.
