As part of the season-long celebration, the Reds honored the 150th anniversary of the 1869 Red Stockings' first game on May 4, 2019. The highlight of the festivities was the dedication of the new 1869 Red Stockings Pavilion near the Reds Hall of Fame and Museum presented by Dinsmore. The pavilion features large bronze busts of each player from the team, along with the club president and secretary.

Additional May 4 celebrations included a commemorative Mr. Redlegs Bobblehead in an 1869 uniform to the first 20,000 fans and Reds players and coaches wearing the first of 15 throwback uniforms.
