The Red Sox and Royals will play a day-night doubleheader Sunday at Fenway Park to make up for Friday night's postponement.
Friday's originally scheduled game, postponed "to support efforts of law enforcement officers" as they searched for the second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings, will be played at 7 p.m ET. The clubs will also meet earlier in the day at 1:35 p.m. as scheduled.
Tickets for Friday's game will be honored for the night game, with the stadium being cleared between games, as usual. All fans are again asked to arrive to the park slightly earlier than usual to account for added security while passing through the gates.
Following the second suspect being apprehended Friday night in Watertown, Mass., the Red Sox will take the field at Fenway for the first time since Monday's horrific bombings when they open the three-game series Saturday afternoon against the Royals. The live pregame ceremony can be seen at 1 p.m. on MLB.com and redsox.com.
