Andy Wilkins and Rangers prospect Luis Sardinas each knocked RBI singles in the bottom of the eighth to break a tie and give La Guaira the win. Aragua's Jim Murphy had hit a three-run homer as a part of the team's four-run eighth. Box score

Jose Flores went 3-for-4, and right-hander Jose Sanchez pitched five strong innings to lead Zulia. Both Felix Perez and Jose Pirela added two hits, while Minnesota's Eduardo Escobar and Leslie Anderson paced Caribes with three knocks each. Box score

A three-run home run in the fifth inning by Gregory Polanco proved to be the difference in the game. Rangers infielder Jurickson Profar, playing for Licey, went 1-for-3 with a double.
